Physical disks in Neutron

Plugging in disks

  • Once the dashboard is online, the disks will have been wiped and ingested as storage OSDs (minus the boot drive).
  • Simply plugging in the new drives will initiate ingestion and there is no need to reboot the cluster to add these new disks to the server.
  • If triple replication is a sufficient data redundancy strategy for the cluster, there is no need for additional datastores.
