Network Interface Controllers

  • Multiple NICs on the server that are plugged into the same switch will be auto-detected and bonded together.
  • The preferred bonding method by default is LACP; however, VM Squared does support falling back to TLB, if the switch does not support LACP.
  • Cluster Management and VM traffic will use the same untagged network by default. Optionally, VLANs can be used to separate network traffic.
    • This will allow the separation of VM Squared clusters (setup will not detect nodes on a different network segment).
    • This can be configured during the first node’s setup by specifying a VLAN ID for the dashboard.
